• Hello All, In This Issue: 1. Babelgum Online Film Festival 2. Amulet Blog 3. 1st Feature (Almost) 1. Babelgum Online Film Festival Our short film Moth is currently competing in the Short Film category of the Babelgum Online Film Festival. This is probably the last festival for Moth and the first chance to view our film online if you haven't seen it yet. The festival closes on the 7th May, so now's your chance. We've had a great and enjoyable festival run and even picked up a couple of awards along the way (Best Film & Best Director). The film has had a much longer festival shelf life than we expected. That it's still showing, after just over 4 years since release, is wonderful. We'll continue to look for further opportunities to exhibit our films but in the meantime, log in, download and enjoy - it's only 12 minutes long :) In order to view our film you’ll need to:- 1. Download Babelgum here: www.babelgum.com/download 2. Enter the Films & Festivals Community (it’s the first one on the top left corner when you start Babelgum) and search for our film: Moth. 3. Use the Rate tool to give it your vote. As well as a great prize for the filmmakers (a trip to Cannes to pick up an award of 20,000 Euros from Spike Lee) there is also an audience prize. The user who writes the best review for the winning film in each category will win a trip to Cannes to attend the awards ceremony with Spike Lee. Thanks for your support. 2. Amulet Blog We finally decided to archive our old news section on our website in favour of a snazzy look Blog. We were introduced to Blogging after our short film, Moth, was selected for the Kansas Film Festival in April, last year. The festival allowed filmmakers to set up their own community page containing a Blog, production stills and trailers. Needless to say the Blog continued intermittently throughout the year and has now become our news tool of choice. In fact we hope that it becomes the frontline of our website with discussions on everything film related. Our old news section will be archived but they will remain accessible via a link on our Blog. 3. 1st Feature (Almost) After a great deal of time, much frustration, some heart stopping (not to mention soul searching) moments, Simon is close to directing his 1st feature. We hope to release a fuller update sometime next month, so please forgive this pre-emptive post. In the meantime please keep an eye on the Blog for news as it happens.
