• Amulet Films Newsletter September News 27th September, 2007 Hello All, A brief update: The Angel Film Festival Update - Finalist Waterford Film Festival 1. The Angel Film Festival Update - Finalist Moth is currently screening at the Angel Film Festival and we've just learnt that we are one of this years finalists. There were over 600 submissions this year, for which 65 films were shortlisted for the festival itself. The final consists of 13 films from the festival, screening at the Vue Cinema, Islington, this Sunday. Director, Simon Corris and Production Designer, Luke Smith will be attending the screening. If you are local to the cinema and want to come along, tickets are free and can be reserved via the festival website here. 2. Waterford Film Festival Moth has also been selected for the Waterford Film Festival in Ireland.   Amulet Films Newsletter September News 19th September, 2007 Hello All, In This Issue: Moth @ The Angel Film Festival  Moth DVD's Amulet & The World Community Grid Joseph & Julia Amulet Website 1. Moth @ The Angel Film Festival Moth has been selected for The Angel Film Festival in Islington. As the festival is in North London this is perhaps the best, and possibly last, time to see the film, as Moth draws to the end of its festival run. The film will be screened at The Garden, 179 Upper Street, Islington from 2pm this Sunday the 23rd of September. Moth DVD's For those that can't get to a screening and would still like to see the film then we still have some DVD's available. You can order them directly from us, using the link below. Amulet & The World Community Grid Join 'Team Amulet' and donate the time your computer is idle, to research projects that benefit humanity! World Community Grid's mission is to create the largest public computing grid in the world. Their success depends on individuals collectively contributing their unused computer time to this not-for-profit endeavour. Moth in Kansas "Moth" has been selected, in competition, for the Kansas City Jubilee Film Festival which runs from April 12-16. This is the film's 12th festival and it has won two awards to date, Best Film and Best Director. For further information about this film festival follow the link to www.kcjubilee.org 2. Sales for Ghosthunter and Moth Our sales agent Big Film Shorts in Palm Springs USA has sold our short film "Ghosthunter" to HBO Latin for broadcast throughout all of Latin America. They also secured a sale for "Moth" on Nano - a new video-on-demand cable channel on Comcast, the largest cable provider in North America. 3. Our BAFTA Masterclass on the Web You may remember from our last newsletter that we were asked by Bafta to present one of their masterclasses for their '60 Seconds of Fame' Short Filmmaking Competition, which ran as part of this years film awards. As part of the competition Bafta, in association with their sponsor Orange, hosted 6 free masterclasses and ours was called 'Make Your 60 Second Short Film For Free'. It ran to a packed house at the Brighton Film School last November. The masterclass was filmed and edited down to a 10 minute PodCast which is now available online.
